Pick the purpose before the boat
An island visit, a reef snorkelling day, a diving trip and a private cruise do not deliver the same experience. Start with what you want to do, how long you want to be out and who is coming. Include non-swimmers and children in the enquiry so the operator can assess suitability.
For a private group, explain whether privacy, a particular activity or a flexible programme matters most. For a shared trip, ask how much of the day is spent travelling, at activity stops and ashore. Any proposed itinerary remains subject to operator confirmation.
Compare the three holiday bases
In El Gouna, distinguish a lagoon cruise from an open-sea outing. For Hurghada, clarify whether the plan centres on reefs, an island visit or diving. In Soma Bay, a house-reef session and a boat excursion are separate options.
Tell Adam your exact accommodation location. Confirm the actual marina and pickup arrangement for the selected boat; the place named in a holiday advert is not always the boarding point. A return transfer should be listed explicitly if required.
Understand the whole-day price
Check whether the quote is per person or per boat and which guests it covers. Ask about meals, drinks, equipment, guides, transfers and any access charges. Clarify what happens if the operator changes or cancels the trip because of conditions.
Share the day you prefer and at least one alternative when possible. Once a proposal is available, review the named operator, boarding instructions and inclusions before payment. Crosswind’s planner prepares an enquiry; it does not hold a seat.
Before you enquire
Can a boat day include both divers and snorkellers?
Some operators may offer suitable mixed arrangements. Ask for the specific activities and support available for each guest.
Can you guarantee dolphins or other wildlife?
No. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed and should not be the basis of a booking promise.
Is a private charter charged per person?
It may be priced for the boat or group. The written proposal should identify the pricing basis and any guest limits or extras.
