A golf-led stay
Somabay’s golf facilities include a Gary Player Signature championship course, a Par 3 Challenge Course and an academy. That gives your group different planning options: full rounds, practice-focused sessions or a shorter introduction to the game.
Specify which facilities you want to use, how many golfers are playing and whether a coach is joining you. Confirm clubs, buggies and practice arrangements rather than assuming they come with every green fee. Hotel and golf availability need to be checked together.
Kitesurfing and other water days
For kiting, start with your level and preferred session structure. A beginner course, equipment rental for an independent rider and a guided outing require different arrangements. Ask which centre is proposed, how you reach it and what support is included.
For diving and snorkelling, distinguish a house-reef visit from a boat excursion. Somabay has both reef access and boat-based activities. Your hotel location and access arrangements matter, so ask whether day use, transport or equipment must be organised separately.
Plan the safari transfer, not just the holiday base
Staying in Soma Bay does not mean a kite safari boards there. If you want to add a northern Red Sea liveaboard, confirm the operator’s actual marina and boarding time before arranging hotel nights or transfers. A Hurghada embarkation may be part of the plan.
A good starting brief identifies the fixed elements first: dates, nights, group size and essential activities. Adam can then discuss what fits, what is optional and how costs change with room sharing or the number of rounds. The final proposal sets out the agreed details.
Before you enquire
Is golf suitable for a mixed-ability group?
Describe everyone’s experience. Ask about appropriate course access, academy sessions and practice arrangements before deciding the programme.
Does a Soma Bay stay include reef access?
Access depends on the hotel and operator arrangement. Confirm it in your proposal rather than assuming every beach or jetty is included.
Can I combine Soma Bay with El Gouna?
You can enquire about a split stay. Allow for separate hotel bookings, transfers and activity arrangements, and compare that with using one base.
